The use of hot -formed pipes

In the production of hot-formed seamless pipes, low-carbon, carbon and alloyed structural steels, corrosion-resistant alloys and instrumental steels are used. Their production is carried out by pressing, according to the method of screw rolling or pressing. The diameter of the pipes can be from 25 to 426 mm, and their length is unmeasured, although often such pipes do not exceed the length of 12 meters. Modern hot -formed pipes are manufactured on European equipment, so they have increased resistance of the walls, high processing accuracy. To process such pipes, two methods are most often used – mechanical (grinding or wiping) or thermal (for example, isothermal firing).

The increased strength of hot -formed seamless pipes is ensured by uniformity throughout the circumference of the profile. It is this homogeneity that is the main property of such pipes. This makes it possible to use pipes in those areas of production where the increased pressure of gases, liquids, as well as increased loads on the pipe prevails. To determine these properties, special control is carried out for distribution, flattening, hardness, bending and pressure, as well as pneumatic testing and hydraulic tests. Pipes made by non -linear and setting drawing are most often manufactured in full accordance with GOSTs.

In addition to the production of pipes with non -standard dimensions that have displaced tolerances, it is possible to make pipes with heat treatment in the oxidizing atmosphere and with a conservation coating. After conducting these methods, you can use pipes in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industry. For this purpose, high -quality steel is used.
